Mission Statement
Christ the King Church exists to help people know, love, and obey Jesus as Lord over all of life.
Ministry Emphases
Every generation has its own particular discipleship needs, and the following six emphases are relevant in our day.
Oak Tree Discipleship — CTK values a multigenerational approach to ministry that will stand the test of time. Oak trees don't grow fast; they grow slowly, making them strong and stable for many years. We want CTK to still be a faithful church for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Prv 17:6).
Holistic Discipleship — CTK strives to maintain a "whole person" approach to discipleship: head, heart, and hands (Rom 6:17-18).
Plain Spoken Ministry — CTK does not shrink from declaring the word of God boldly and applying God's word courageously to the lives of our people in a plain spoken way (Acts 4:29-31).
Household Discipleship — CTK strives to teach men and women to obey their vocations as men and as women according to the word of God.
Enduring Fellowship — CTK fosters fruitful Christian friendships that weather hardship and confrontation (Rom 12:9-21).
Cultivating Leaders — CTK strives to continually raise up leaders for future ministry as elders/pastors, deacons, city group leaders, Sunday School teachers, church planters, and more (Eph 4:11-12).
Our 20 Year Vision
Christ the King Church planted a sister church in 2014 called Christ the King Church — Eastern Hills in the Madisonville/Fairfax area of Cincinnati. We are both part of the Southern Baptist Convention. In 2020, we committed to a 20 year vision of planting four more churches throughout the greater Cincinnati area by the year 2040. In 2025, we purchased our new building in Ft. Thomas, KY, to better facilitate our pursuit of these goals.
Our 100 Year Vision
We also moved into our current facility because we are trusting God for 100 years of fidelity to Christ and gospel ministry that would be passed down and carried forward to our grandchildren's generation. We are prayerfully trusting God to preserve a Christian legacy for many generations at Christ the King Church.
