What Do We Want Our Church to Look Like Five Years from Now?

Here are some summary statements of what we hope to be known for as a church.

  • Christ the King Church is a vibrant and growing church in Northern Kentucky where people from all walks of life are coming to faith in Christ and making Jesus Lord over their whole lives ( Rom 6:17-18)
  • CTK’s presence is consistent, effective, visible, and broad ( Matt 5:14-15)
  • CTK’s ministries are done with prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit ( Rom 15:13)
  • CTK is known for being “high grace” and “high truth” ( John 1:17); we are not embarrassed of any verse of scripture, we proclaim it boldly with humility and grace, and the most wretched of all sinners find grace and hope in Christ ( 1 Tim 1:15)
  • CTK has the courage to tackle the tough issues of our day with sharp minds, warm hearts, and steel spines ( Acts 4:29)
  • CTK’s members love each other deeply and meet each other’s needs tangibly ( Titus 3:14, James 1:17)
  • CTK’s members are well-connected and have a significant friendships ( Acts 2:42-47)
  • CTK is a church where godly singles can find a godly spouse, as evidenced by a large number of engagements and weddings ( Prov 18:22)
  • CTK practices gendered virtue; men and women have godly role models of mature fathers and mothers to look up to and learn from ( 1 Cor 4:15, Titus 2:1-10)
  • CTK provides a robust theological learning environment for people at every stage of their spiritual development ( 2 Tim 4:1-4, Titus 2:1)
  • CTK’s fathers and mothers are dedicated to providing their children a thoroughly Christian education ( Deut 6:4-9)
  • CTK’s Raising Oaks Homeschool co-op is thriving as it provides CTK families with excellent resources and support in education ( Deut 6:4-9)
  • CTK has clear pathways for various levels of leadership serving in the church, such as elders/pastors, preachers, deacons, staff, city group leaders, Sunday School teachers, church planters, and Titus 2 women ( Eph 4:11-13)
  • CTK Institute provides higher level theological training for men who aspire to the office of elder ( 1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9)
  • King’s Domain ministry continues to grow and provide helpful resources through media, music, a pastor’s fellowship, and its annual conference
  • King’s Domain hosts various equipping events, seminars, lectures, and debates
